What a Collaborative Audit Does

A collaborative audit lets a counselor review a student's application progress and flag anything that's missing, unclear, or needs correction before submission — and lets the student see and respond to that feedback in one place, instead of over email or in a separate document.

General Process

  1. The student completes as much of their application profile as they can (courses, activities, and any other required sections).

  2. The counselor opens the student's profile from their own dashboard and reviews it section by section.

  3. Where something is missing, incomplete, or needs a fix, the counselor leaves a note or flag on that specific item rather than a general comment on the whole application.

  4. The student reviews the flagged items, makes corrections, and marks them resolved.

  5. The counselor does a final pass to confirm everything is addressed before the student submits.

Note: this outlines the general audit workflow. If GradMap's exact screens, button labels, or click paths have changed since the videos above were recorded, whoever owns the audit tool should update this section with a current screen-by-screen walkthrough.
